He was born in 1958 in Huangyan, Zhejiang Province, and graduated from Zhejiang Institute of Fine Arts. He is working as teacher at the same institute, and he is also member of Zhejiang Artists’ Association, councillor of Zhejiang Oil Painting Research Society, and special painter of Hangzhou Painting and Calligraphy Studio. In 1985 he took part in Zhejiang “Eight Five” New Space Activities. In 1986 he participated in establishing Wanman Wall Hanging Research Institute. In 1987 he was awarded “France 1987 Art Interactive Prize ” issued by the France Association of Art Interactive. His painting “Hopeful Open Country” was chosen to be displayed at the National Art Painting Exhibition and was awarded the excellent prize. The painting “Honour of Homeland” was selected to take part in 1985 International Youth Art Painting Exhibition and won a prize. |
